What Is MUN?
Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation in which delegates can explore their capacity to solve global issues through heated debates, crisis reenactment, and resolution paper writing. Our conference consists of 8 committees, each composed of approximately 30 delegates, and lead by two directors who wrote the Study Guide that contextualized the debate topic for the weekend. Attendees can expect to become experts on their topic of conflict and gain an in-depth understanding of their countries position regarding these issues. As the debate progresses, alliances will be formed, draft resolutions papers enacted, and votes cast; in the end, the take away will invariably be that Model UN is a life defining experience, where delegates not only learn and grow as leaders, but they also enjoy the company of like-minded peers who share their interest and passion for crafting a better future for our world.
